Marinade

First, start by peeling and deveining your shrimp. Be sure to remove the entire shell, including the tail, for a clean presentation.

Next, in a large mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, olive oil, chili flakes, ginger, and minced garlic. Mix thoroughly until all the ingredients are well blended, ensuring that the marinade is smooth and flavorful.

Marinade

Now, it’s time to add the shrimp to the marinade. Mix well to make sure every shrimp is evenly coated with that delicious blend of flavors. Then, let the shrimp marinate for about 15–20 minutes so the flavors can really soak in.

Shrimp Marinade

While the shrimp is marinating, take the opportunity to cook your white rice and broccoli, as these will make the perfect sides for your meal.

Cooking Process

Once the marinating time is up, heat a frying pan over medium heat. When the pan is hot, place the shrimp in it. Cook the shrimp halfway through, then give them a flip to cook the other side.

Now, pour any leftover marinade over the shrimp and let it cook down and thicken. Then sprinkle white sesame seeds over the top and mix. This will create a rich, sticky sauce that coats the shrimp beautifully.

Shrimp Final Stage

When the shrimp reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees(63°C),they are done and ready to be served.

For the finishing touch, place the shrimp over your cooked rice and broccoli. Drizzle some sauce over the top for extra flavor, and garnish with white sesame seeds and freshly chopped chives for a burst of color and texture.
