Ingredients 

  •  8 ounces of cream cheese (Room Temperature) 
  • 1 cup of sour cream 
  • 1 & 1/2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese (save 1/2 cup of the cheese for the end)
  • 1 tablespoon  of minced garlic 
  • 3/4 cup of artichoke hearts (finely chopped) 
  • 8 ounces of spinach leaves 
  • ½ an onion diced 
  • All purpose seasoning or an Italian Seasoning  
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese 
  • Chopped Chives for garnish 
  • Sourdough bread bowl 
  • Tortilla Chips 
  • Olive oil 
  • ½ lb – 1 lb of ground Italian Sausage (All depends on how meaty you want to make it)

Instructions

  • Sautee your garlic and onion in olive oil 
  • Add your spinach and mix 
  • Let the spinach wilt down completely, remove from the pan and let it cool down 
  • Make sure you squeeze some of the liquid out with the spinach with paper towels 
  • Cook your ground sausage all the way through 
  • In a mixing bowl add cream cheese, artichoke hearts, sour cream, ground sausage, spinach, mozzarella cheese and season the entire mixture 
  • Mix thoroughly until everything gets well incorporated 
  • Spread evenly in a oven safe dish 
  • Place in your smoker at 250 degrees for 2 hours (Make you mix the dip around every 30 minutes)
  • Hollow out the bread bowl (Save the part you cut out and cut them up for dipping)
  • Place your dip mixture in the bread bowl and spread evenly 
  • Spread a layer of shredded mozzarella over the top 
  • Broil until golden brown 
  • Plate up with extra bread and chips!
