Ingredients

  • 8 Portobello mushrooms 
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese 
  • 1 pound of cooked bacon (Diced) 
  • ½ cup of sliced green onions 
  • 2 tablespoons of pickled jalapeño’s (You can also use pickled green chilis)
  • 1 tablespoon of all purpose seasoning 
  • Chopped Chives for Garnish 

Instructions for Jalapeño Popper Stuffed Mushrooms

Begin by removing all the stems from the mushrooms, creating a hollow space for the filling.

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, diced green onions, chopped green chilis, and all-purpose seasoning for a flavorful popper mixture.

Add crispy bacon to the bowl, ensuring to reserve some pieces for garnish later.

Next, incorporate shredded cheddar cheese into the mixture and thoroughly combine all the ingredients.

Carefully fill each mushroom cap with the popper mixture, ensuring even distribution of the flavorful filling.

Preheat your smoker or oven to 275-300 degrees Fahrenheit(135°C- 149°C) indirect cooking, providing the perfect environment for flavorful results.

Place the stuffed mushrooms on the cool side of the smoker and cook for 30-40 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together and the mushrooms to cook to perfection.
